A turn of the side BOA tightens the internal harness in three dimensions - interior, exterior and from above, lowering both sides of the tongue downwards and preventing heel lift.The modern design is inspired by space, polar and mountain expeditions. Most of the components are welded rather than sewn to the upper, giving it a unique seamless build that ups the waterproofing & durability to new levels. Weve added a tough TPU shield around the front called ArmorTech, to protect your toes when billygoating. Underneath, we used our Vibram Approach outsole to improve traction on cold and icy surfaces, with two EVA inserts for dampening. The whole outsole then connects to the Exo Spine seamlessly, eliminating exposed edges at the back.
