Gore-Tex® Duratherm Kelvin At the heart of the Flagship boots is the Gore-Tex® Duratherm Kelvin membrane lining. Engineered with hollow-core fibres this lining offers outstanding insulation for minimal bulk. In fact, Northwave rates them as comfortable down to -15 degrees Celcius. The boots are also windproof and waterproof, keeping out the very worst of the winter weather.   In order to ensure you can pedal smoothly and efficiently during winter, Northwave deploys their flexible Easyfit Climaflex collar. Not only allowing easy pedalling, the Gore-Tex Rattler® membrane also prevents water from getting in.  Meanwhile, inside the shoes, the Arctic 4layer insole adds another layer of insulation from the cold - the four-layer aluminium and fleece construction works with the Gore-Tex membrane to deliver outstanding warmth even when you're cycling in temperatures below freezing. The grip is kept minimal but functional, maintaining a low overall weight. For muddy cyclocross races and slippery trails, front studs can also be added for extra traction.  XFrame® x Twin Dial SLW2 closure system When it comes to long-ride comfort there's little that matches the snug-fitting XFrame® upper.
